Publication Fees

Journal of the Global Power and Propulsion Society is an open-access journal. To publish in the journal, authors are required to pay an article-processing charge (APC). However, articles are not subject to a submission fee. An invoice will be issued by GPPS after the accepted paper was typeset. Payment is a condition for publication.

The APC for the journal is 750 CHF for up to 16 typeset pages, and 100 CHF for each page over that *.

For members of GPPS, the journal offers a discounted APC of 500 CHF for up to 16 typeset pages and a charge of 100 CHF for each page over that *.

The journal offers free publication, to papers (up to 16 typeset pages) recommended for publication in the journal, after submission to the GPPS technical conference. However, if these papers are over 16 pages, they will incur a charge of 100 CHF per page for excess pages *.

You can gauge roughly how much of page figures and tables will cover on average, from 1/6th of a page for small figures up to 3 pages for large tables. This is an estimate only. The actual page extent of the typeset PDF may vary.

For all fees, a 8.1% VAT applies.

* Papers submitted prior to January 21, 2025, will be subject to the 2024 guidelines. Specifically, the 2024 page limit being 14 pages, with each additional page incurring a fee of 130 CHF.
